CJ’s teaching experience straddles the spectrum of classroom and online learning models both here in British Columbia and abroad. Currently, CJ is the co-ordinator for Innovations Online and Head of Humanities at TLA online. Three years ago, CJ took on a pilot program based on project-based learning in a cross-curricular, core-competency environment. This student-led, collaborative program brings online learners together on cooperative projects as well as subject-related projects. Innovations CJ earned an M.A. in Communications in 1990 and was subsequently invited to teach writing at Wheaton College in Illinois. After returning to Canada in 1994, CJ earned her B.Ed. at UBC. In 2002, CJ offered her first blended course in a high school in Langley, BC. For the last 6 years, she has been developing curriculum and teach for TLA online.
