Voices into Action - a cost-free, online human rights/social justice resource!

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule, view media, leave feedback and see who's attending!

A vibrant, interactive workshop introduces educators to Voices into Action  – a comprehensive resource which examines issues of prejudice and intolerance with the intention of developing students’ social consciousness.  This online resource, created by non-profit FAST (creators of Choose Your Voice), provides teachers with material for Socials, Social Justice, History, Law, English, and Art courses. Through case studies, original videos, thought provoking lessons, and primary resources students delve into subjects like immigration, The Holocaust, genocide, homophobia, the Aboriginal experience, and more.  This workshop will introduce you to the teacher dashboard so you can plan lessons, save them, and e-send them to your students. As educators it is vital that we share truths about all forms of oppression with our students so that they can choose compassion over hate and positive action over indifference.
