Engaging Elementary Students in the Virtual Classroom

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule, view media, leave feedback and see who's attending!

This session will explore ways of engaging elementary students within the virtual classroom. Using Blackboard Collaborate, I've developed a number of fun and instructional activities to support DL students, and although my area of specialty has been Language Arts, these strategies can be used across the Elementary curriculum.  From Readers Theatre to novel studies to author interviews, and everything in between, see what worlds can be opened for our elementary kids in the virtual classroom.
Delegates will come away with:
  • Ideas for activities to use to enhance student learning in Elementary virtual classrooms.
  • Access to hundreds of pre-made powerpoint screens for a variety of virtual classroom activities (mostly Language Arts, but many that can be extended across a variety of subject areas).
