Student collaboration: Harnessing the power of digital mind-maps

Mind-maps are a great way to review, retain and organize information, make connections between concepts, and brainstorm ideas. Many digital mind-mapping websites are available to create individually or collaboratively generated maps. This presentation will demonstrate a few of these sites as well as their capabilities, requirements, collaborative learning possibilities, potential risks and possible activities.

Delegtes will come away with a resource (handout) with variety of digital mind-mapping websites. The session will include program capabilities, technical requirements, and potential privacy risks as well as examples of lesson ideas and activities.
