Bridging the Gap: How Integrated, Independent Learning Centres in Schools Create Opportunities in the DL World.

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule, view media, leave feedback and see who's attending!

Our district has created Independent Learning Centers (ILC’s) at each of our high schools. Students receive an ILC block(s) as part of their regular timetable. During these blocks, students work in a computer lab, with the assistance of a classroom teacher. We will have an administrator, an ILC teacher and a Distance Education teacher (Navigate) on our panel to share our challenges and successes, and to explain how we work together to provide students with more choice in courses, pace and learning styles in order to better meet their needs.
