Supporting Aboriginal Learners in an Online Environment

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule, view media, leave feedback and see who's attending!

We have created an online classroom for our Aboriginal Education worker to interact with her students and families. This allows her families to access information about upcoming events as well as view past events at any time of day or night. In addition there is an opportunity to help students connect with academic and/or career counselors.

Opportunities for both face to face and virtual classes are available and accessed through the ABED classroom as well. This presentation will discuss how the ABED classroom has increased our learner's connections with their school and, we hope, improve their success rate.
