As the number of online tools continues to grow, there are new ways for students and teachers to participate in classroom activities. Using a variety of technologies can enhance classroom presence and encourage the construction of a supportive learning environment. In this presentation, we will show some examples of applications that engage students and assist in the development of learning communities. Participants will be encouraged to explore a sample of tools and take away some ideas for future online activities.

This session will be helpful to educators who are interested in expanding their online toolbox, thereby enhancing the development of online learning communities and encouraging increased student engagement.
